How does she know this is my life?
- The GP calls about Mum at the exact moment your toddler needs feeding.
- Your sibling thinks you're overreacting.
- Dad insists he's perfectly safe to drive.
- Someone mentions Power of Attorney, and you realise you don't actually know if one exists.
- You're searching care homes at 11pm, long after everyone else is asleep.
Your child needs you. Your parent needs you. Work still expects you to turn up tomorrow. And somehow you've become the person who's supposed to know what happens next.
You don't need another person telling you to look after yourself. You need to know what to do, and what can genuinely wait.

There's a real person behind this ..
I'm Sara. For over thirty years I've worked as a private PA and EA - the person people call when they need something complicated handled properly and don't have the headspace to do it themselves.
I was lucky enough to become a mother later in life, but it also meant that when my own mother needed care, I was juggling everything that came with that while raising a toddler. My mother spent 90 days in hospital while we tried to navigate care homes, councils, NHS assessments and work out what happened next. I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're trying to make important decisions for someone you love while your child still needs you and the rest of life doesn't stop.
That's a big part of why I created The Wise Woman - practical, intelligent help for the things nobody prepares you for, without the jargon or guru language.
